Welcome to L. Hollingworth School for the Talented and Gifted 
For decades, Talented & Gifted programs have been viewed as an educational luxury entitled to upper income families that could afford to send their children to specialized programs and academic enrichment activities.
Nonetheless, the unofficial assumption is that economically, disadvantaged students somehow do not require or are entitled to the same talented & gifted support as their counterparts. Equally disturbing is that the true talents and skills of this population of children often go undetected in a mainstream educational environment.
In part, it is the absence of elementary talented & gifted opportunities for economically, disadvantaged children with outstanding talents that fuels our passion for developing the L. Hollingworth School for Talented and Gifted.
