Welcome to L. Hollingworth School for the Talented and Gifted Mission Statement

A collaboration between El Centro de la Mujer and Hollingworth School for the Talented & Gifted

El Centro de la Mujer’s participants and members at the first computer class at L. Hollingworth School for the Talented & Gifted. The computer classes for the El Centro de la Mujer’s participants started Sept. 19, 2011, thanks to the collaboration with L. Hollingworth School for the Talented & Gifted. The school offered its computer lab to this group of Latinas, who wish to improve their knowledge of computers.

These classes were established because the participants requested them. T.C. Franklin, head of the school, and Luis Fuller, Title I, Testing & Academic Support Coordinator, were very pleased with the women’s attendance. “This was always one of the things we envision for the school,” remarked Fuller.

According to director Claudia Annoni, El Centro de la Mujer, a project supported by Toledo Area Ministries (TAM), is “excited to give the opportunity to its participants to develop new skills and to educate themselves.” The organization Second Chance is facilitating the use of their transportation for this program.
