AI Policy

The Board of Education of L. Hollingworth School recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to enhance teaching, learning, and school operations. This policy establishes guidelines for the safe, ethical, and responsible use of AI technologies by students, educators, and staff. 
 
The purpose of this policy is to: 

1. Prepare students to use AI effectively and responsibly in academic and future settings. 

2. Encourage innovation and support innovation through appropriate AI integration. 

3. To improve operational efficiency while protecting student privacy, data security, and academic integrity. 

4. To establish consistency expectations, standards, and appropriate processes for implementation and use of the AI technologies, including generative AI. 


This policy applies to all approved uses of artificial intelligence within the school, including general AI applications and other AI-powered tools used for educational or operational purposes. To support students and educators in using artificial intelligence (AI) for educational and operational purposes, the Board of Education of L. Hollingworth School has created this AI policy.
