A little about myself:
This is my fourth year teaching at L. Hollingworth. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies as well as 6th grade English language arts. I love and believe in the school, staff, and students so much that I actually drive from Upper Sandusky every day! (Geography lesson time! Upper Sandusky is not where Cedar Point is. “Upper” is located southeast about 75 miles. I smack dab between Toledo and Columbus from north to south and Mansfield and Lima from east to west. The Sandusky River flows from the south to the north and dumps into Lake Erie, so technically, I live “up” stream despite being south of Sandusky – the home of Cedar Point. =)
Prior to coming to L. Hollingworth, I taught non-verbal autistic kiddos, ages PreK –10, for a year in Lima, Ohio, and I also taught 7th grade reading and 10th grade English for a semester in Bascom, Ohio. I earned an Associate of Arts degree from Columbus State Community College in 2009, a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from The Ohio State University in 2011, and a Master’s in Education from The Ohio State University in 2013. I have certifications to teach grades 4-9 Social Studies and Language Arts, and I also have a K-12 Reading Endorsement and a Generalist Endorsement which qualifies me to teach grades 4-6 Math and Science.
