Hello Parents and Students,

My name is Ms. CiAira Jackson and I am the Family & Community Engagement Coordinator here at LHS. I have worked at LHS for 3 years as a Paraprofessional previous to this school year. I am so excited to work with our families and students in my new role. I graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. In college I found myself highly interested in Sociology of Education. I wanted to know whether schools truly makes a difference in individuals lives, and how the school process affects all the lives involved.

Last school year I started a young ladies empowerment group called Ladies of Integrity here at LHS for grades 6th through 8th. Ladies of Integrity empowers each lady to grow in self-discipline, leadership and character. This school year I have a great opportunity to work along side Ms. Robertson LPCC to implement Social and Emotional Learning here at LHS. I believe introducing Social and Emotional Learning this upcoming school year would be a great opportunity for parents and students to be able to identify and understand how they are feeling.
