Things you need to know for the next few weeks.

hey everyone I just wanted to take a minute and create this video to answer some commonly asked questions that I have been receiving now I know that the last few days we've been sending out a lot of updates and emails and a lot of different things so that way we can clarify a lot of questions that people have been having but even went that I have found that a lot of people are asking he really good questions and return so I just wanted to have one platform where I'm able to answer at least hopefully most of your questions please at the end if you have any more questions or concerns anything along those lines I didn't go let me know because I'm just I'm so amazed at the questions I've been getting and how helpful it really is to everybody else so please please please let me know as questions are coming to your mind so first live not great grades are going to look like satisfactory or unsatisfactory so not ABCD or F but satisfactory or unsatisfactory now mrs. Clay's how are we supposed to be satisfactory or unsatisfactory how are we supposed to track that well I feel like some people are aware as to whether they are awesome there meaning of work they're doing fantastic or you haven't been doing work or if you're somewhere in between now as teachers we have been keeping track of your work very diligently trying to track and see where people need help different things like that on Monday I will be sending you an email about your social studies work and I will let you know what weeks you were satisfactory to thumbs up great job or unsatisfactory now the goal is to be satisfactory more weeks then the unsatisfactory we will be evaluating you for 7 weeks of work so please take that into account so on Monday I will send you what weeks you were not so satisfactory and then you know where you need to focus your work from there if you email says hey you're solid then dear good and social studies is not a concern for you going forward this Friday is the last day for activity and assignments to be posted find Google classrooms that means you will get no more work for me for the next two weeks but from May 9th to May 22nd that is if I send you an e-mail on Monday saying hey you need to get some work done that is two weeks for you to get that done if at the end of those two weeks you haven't done it then that's where they unsatisfactory will come into play now I knew I do need to say that it's not just social studies Ela Math and Science you are also getting evaluated and Miss kirwan's Mister link keys and master files so if you have not been doing the work in those classes you really need to start because they will be giving you a satisfactory or unsatisfactory in there as well it's going to be separate great as always in each class so it is possible for you to get a satisfactory and one class and unsatisfactory in another so please please please be sure that you are working and all of your classes do best and that you are checking your emails are asking questions you're doing everything you can to get that satisfactory score if you are having any technical issues that are preventing you from getting work done please let us know ASAP if you can't get a hold of us through email or anything along those lines please call the school they will let us know but we need to know that that is a part of how you are being evaluated I hope that helps X bar so Friday is the last day for new assignments you have from May 9th to May 22nd to get things done turned in and looking good for us to be able to evaluate you satisfactory or unsatisfactory different grade in each class the four core classes and also your three specials it so far all right next thing that I've gotten a lot of questions about is eighth grade graduation is graders are going to have a celebration on zoom on May 22nd using the same length and same passcode that we have been using for the hungering second parents you are more than welcome to join we would love to see you so please check out the invitation that is posted on my web page and also on Google classroom house on at 1 now what are we going to do about Zoom Google office hours for those two weeks we don't have new assignments simple they go on as normal you come to those Home Room check-in you get the participation credit you come to office hours and ask me questions about assignments that you haven't done even if it's all the way back from Week 1 participation yay so Zoom meetings and office hours will continue on as normal for the next two weeks is very very much encourage you to be there so far we have grade graduation we have check-ins and last but not least we have belongings so all of you have belongings in the school whether it's a lot of stuff just a few folders everybody has something what is going to happen is on May 21st all four of us teachers are going to come together we are going to pack up your belongings before we do that we need a few things from you first if you have a lock on your locker and I don't have the combination our teacher doesn't have the combination we're going to need to get into that Locker so please please please be sure that you are sending us that combination or if you have a key to your lock and you know that we don't have it please be sure that you are Peanut off at the school or getting not to us in some in some way email us let us know because it is very important that we get into those Locker so that way we can pack up your things 2 if you are sitting there going I have a lot of stuff that's not in my locker and you know where it is then please let us know that as well but I would hate to do is pack everybody stop thinking that everything is great and then you look at and you're like where is this this isn't that so if you know that you left a lot of stuff in mr. Pollock's room or missiles or mine or anything along those lines please let us for me binders I will give those back to you on they all have names on them is very easy mrs. Williams I know has your Data Tracking folders different things along those you will get those back they have names on them that's the only issue I'm talking about Blazers anything like that that you know is not in your locker and you would like to get it back during the pick-up day now let's talk pick up day Maine 27th is your day to pick up your belongings that is going to be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. all of us teachers will be there when you get there you let us know if you have a Chromebook or Hotspot from the school you do need to return it that day if you are a book club you need to bring back your book that day if you have any other materials from the school, steelbook anything like that you need to be back that day so we will bring you your stuff but you need to bring back the school's materials as well again that's May 27th 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. be there okay put it on your calendars for the big circle around it May 27th now this is crazy about all the other stuff 8th graders your graduation certificates and portfolios we will also give you back that day if you are a book club the shirts are in so we will give you your shirt that day if your insides Club your Earth Day shirts are also in you will get those that day if you ordered a yearbook you will all go get it that day so if you're sitting there going on wow I have all those things coming to me then you are going to be picking up quite a few things so know that yearbook and you shirts for a club or or if you're an eighth grader and he graduation materials all of that will be given back to you on May 27th from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. so if you have any questions for me any concerns after watching this video please let me I'm here though assignment stop on Friday I don't so I hope to see you on your resume homeroom checking's and at office hours and I look forward to seeing the work that you complete these next few weeks I look forward to hearing from you soon by everyone
