R-Controlled Vowels

This week's spelling lists consist of words with R-controlled vowels. These are words that are frequently misspelled. The link I am adding to this post, is for a video that we use in class to help distinguish between the different sounds that the /r/  makes when paired with different vowels. Please consider watching this with your child. It is silly but catchy and is usually helpful.

Good morning!

Good morning! I am so happy that so many of you have reached out to me to receive your passwords for Prodigy and Spelling City. I am confident that we can work together during this unexpectedly difficult time to continue educating our kids. I wanted to let you know that Elizabeth Carpenter (intervention specialist) provided resources on her webpage for the students that she provides services for. Please take advantage of the additional help. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!
