L. Hollingworth School 2020-2021 Transitioning plans to Hybrid Model

October 7, 2020

Dear L. Hollingworth Families,

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we navigate through this particularly trying school year. While we recognize the valiant efforts put forth by our students, families, and L. Hollingworth staff toward making our remote learning experience an effective one, we also recognize the value of in-person learning for our students. This objective remains our ultimate goal, while also sustaining the safest learning environment possible for our students and staff.

We are pleased to announce that starting Monday, October 26th, L. Hollingworth will be transitioning to a hybrid model of learning. The schedule is as follows:

Monday & Tuesday: In-person learning for all students

Wednesday: Remote learning; students in the building by appointment only

Thursday & Friday: Remote learning for all students

Families with signed Remote Learning Agreements will continue to have those agreements honored. If you would like to change your child’s fully-remote status to in-person, please contact the main office. Students with school-issued Chromebooks will be expected to bring them to school on Mondays and Tuesdays for in-person instruction.

While we hope this transition to in-person learning will remain in effect, please be advised that L. Hollingworth School reserves the right to monitor and make changes to this status based on ongoing local, state, and federal recommendations for health and safety. Families will be notified immediately if there are any further changes in our day-to-day operations.

Prior to the October 26th start date, please carefully review the 2020-2021 Covid-19 Handbook for all pertinent information on health and safety procedures and protocols.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the main office or your child’s teacher.

Sincerely,

T.C. Franklin

Head of School
