Updated LHS COVID-19 Protocols

Dear Parents/Guardians of the LHS community,

Good News!

As many of you may know, Governor Dewine has lifted all of the health orders in relation to COVID-19 for the state of Ohio. This went into effect on June 2nd at 12:01am. The order that directly affected us as school that was rescinded was "Facial Coverings In Child Education Settings."

This means that as a school, we have decided to follow the state's direction and will no longer require any masks or distancing for staff, students, or any visitor’s while they are in the building. However, if anyone would like to continue to wear a mask inside our building, they are more than welcome to do so. In addition, we will continue to encourage everyone to take safety measures by washing their hands, using hand sanitizer and staying home from summer camp and school if they are feeling ill. If needed, we will continue to contact the state if/when we have any COVID-19 related cases in our school population.

During the summer months, we will continue to monitor any changes that may happen at the state and local level and adjust our procedures if necessary. If we receive any direction at the state or local level that we need to change back to our prior guidelines/protocols, then we will do so at that time.

We as a school are excited that we are returning to “normal” school year for this fall and I personally look forward to working with our L. Hollingworth population to continue our success.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to the office at this time.
