Welcome LHS Families
Hello,
My name is Mrs. Jude Shebib.
I earned my degree in Biology and Biochemistry, with a minor in Psychology, from Loyola University Chicago. My teaching journey began as a lab assistant, where I spent three years supporting classes and contributing to cancer research—focusing on how to destroy cancer cells while preserving healthy ones. That fascinating experience not only led to several publications but also sparked my lifelong passion for science and teaching.
Later, I transitioned into high school teaching, where I discovered the joy of helping students explore the world of science. My love for nature and animals makes my life verry meaningful.
Outside the classroom, I see science everywhere—even in music! I enjoy writing songs and playing both the organ and the guitar.
I recently adopted a kitten (though I’ve always been a dog person). Thus, I am looking forward for the day that I adopt a Blue Bay Shepherd.
I also love coffee—my students know if I have it in hand, I’m fully powered and ready to dive into learning!
I’m thrilled for this school year and can’t wait to guide students in discovering how science connects to our daily lives. Together, we’ll ask questions, explore ideas, and make learning fun and exciting.
