Mrs. Lay

My name is Debra Lay. I am a Reading Specialist here at L. Hollingworth and provide small group and individual intervention for K - 8 students.  I received both my bachelor's degree and my master's in education from Bowling Green State University. I spent one year as a graduate assistant there tutoring students at the Reading Clinic before moving on to work in schools. Over the course of the last 36 years, I have worked with students from Kindergarten through high school with the goal of helping them develop strategies for improved reading comprehension, as well as, cultivate a love for reading. 
 
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, two sons and our rescued dog and cat. I live in the nearby city of Rossford, where I have been a lifelong resident. 
 
I am excited to be a part of the Hollingworth family and to start the new school year!
