Learning Plan Monday April 27, 2020

Good morning!  I am excited to see our temperatures forecast is a bit warmer this week!  I really hope you can get outside and enjoy it.  Maybe you can read on your porch or in your backyard, maybe you can sit at a picnic table or on the patio or deck with your computer to work online and get fresh air into your lungs.  Mix it up (with your grown-up's permission)

There is a new MobyMax class contest.  I can't wait to award your prizes!

Reading -  Keep increasing your reading fluency and using your reading strategies and read for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon.  No Roses for Harry can get you started. (username [email protected] password vooks13)
Continue your work in MobyMax Reading and Language  Congratulations to the contest winners Sherylann, Julian and Aubree!  Way to go earning those points!  You have been awarded a new game and 60 bonus minutes of game time.

Math - MobyMax Math and Fact Fluency is where it's at boys and girls!  Take your time, read and think before you enter your answer.  Work hard!

Science - Mystery Science - Why do birds lay eggs in the Spring?  Enjoy this mini lesson and choose one bird book from Reading IQ.  Learn about a bird you may see in your own yard.  Then go outside, sit quietly and watch for birds.  Record your observations in your home Science Journal.  Remember to use your senses to describe your observations and tools like a clock, thermometer, and calendar for more information.  Write and draw in your journal.

Social Studies - With your grown-up, check out Scholastic At Home Play Starters  There are several fun ways to play and learn together.  Keep track of the ones you do and how you liked them.  I hope it results in laughs, giggles, movement and fun with your family.  If needed our password is 2brocks!

Remember to check out Mr. Lindke's, Ms. Gerwin's, and Mrs. DeSloover's pages for PE, Computer, and Reading activities and supports.  You are doing an amazing job and I am so proud to be your teacher!  Tomorrow we will meet via Zoom at 10AM or 2PM, your choice.  Enjoy this beautiful spring day!
